 SAFETY RULES
Stock Car Racing is a dangerous sport; please prepare your car as safely as possible



1. Toccoa Motor Speedway officials will inspect all cars for safety. Any considered unsafe will not be allowed to race. All cars are subject to safety inspections at anytime and the official's decisions are final.
 

2. Roll Cages - All classes
A. Minimum 4 points cage must be securely welded to chassis - unibody cars must have cage welded to 1/8-inch minimum plate that is securely welded and/or bolted to floor pan.
B. Cage must be constructed of minimum 1 1/2' O.D. steel tubing, with..95" wall thickness.
C. Cage must include three bars in driver door area and 2 bars on passenger door area.
D. Additional bracing and reinforcement is allowed and must be securely and safely mounted.

3. Driver Belts
A. Must be safely mounted and approved by safety officials.
B. Minimum 3" lap belt width.
C. Minimum of two (2) 3" width shoulder harness belts.

4. Helmets - must be approved by safety official.

5. Fuel Systems
A. Fuel cells required for sportsman, limited sportsman, a and modified cards are strongly recommended for other cars.
B. Gas tanks, fuel Cells, and gas lines must be secure and safely mounted.
C. Any electric fuel pump must have automatic fuel pump kill switch.
D. Gas tank or fuel cell must be mounted behind centerline of rear axle.

6. Fire Walls:
All driver compartments must have ferrous metal fire walls, with no unnecessary holes separating the drover from the track, engine compartment, fuel tanks and lines, and drive line.

7. Fire Extinguisher:
All cars must have an adequate and fully charged fire extinguisher securely mounted within easy reach of the driver.

8. Driver Compartment:
A. Must be free from any sharp edges and pointed objects.
B. Any objects mounted in driver compartment must be securely attached and covered as necessary.
C. All seats must be securely mounted to roll cage.
D. Scatter shields A/O safety matting 1/4' thick.

9. All parts of the race car must not be dangerous to other cars. All body and other components must be securely attached. There must be no protruding sharp edges or points that could damage another car.

10. All internal and external glass, brittle plastic, and flammable material must be removed from the car.

11. Battery must be bolted down. Battery must be located in area from behind driver to rear of car.

12. Fire Suite (Top and bottom) - mandatory for ALL CLASSES, must be worn.



TRACK RULES


Track official's decision will be final. We cannot make the rules to fit everyone's needs and desires. So if you drive, please be willing to by The Rules Outlined here.

A. Yellow Flag - Everyone slow down to a safe speed and follow the care you were behind the last green lap. You will be lined back up on the track where you were running; not in the position you are running.

B. Red Flag - This flag means danger, stop as quickly as possible. Do not pass the flag man when this flag is displayed. The cars will again be lined up as they were running the last green lap.

C. Black Flag - This flag means pull in the pits.

D. Blue With Yellow Stripe - Displayed to cars being lapped. These cars must allow the lead cars to pass.

E. Crossed Flags - Halfway point of race.

F. ANYONE caught drinking, using marijuana, controlled substances, or fighting will be SUSPENDED or FINED before returning to track.

G. However, nothing shall prohibit the track owners from administering any penalty. Including removal from the premises or permanent suspension of track privileges, to driver, owner or pit crew member, whose conduct, at the compete discretion of the track owner, represents the treat to the orderliness of track operations or the safety of others.

H. Any unnecessary roughness on the racetrack, and the race will stop and the person or persons will be put in the pits.

I. TO BE the official leader of the race you must have completed the last green lap.

J. ANY CAR or cars that are involved in any accident will be lined up in the rear of the line, as they were on the track the previous lap. Any care for which the YELLOW FLAG is displayed must restart in the rear.

K. DRIVER may change division only with approval of track official. Driver may only drive one division per night.

L. NO WORK CAN BE DONE ON CARS ON THE RACE TRACK. ALL WORK ON RACE CARS MUST BE DONE IN PIT AREA!!!

M. DRIVERS will be paid according to laps completed.

N. THE PAYOFF on a red-checkered flag will be the same as a restart.

O. NEW CARS are expected to go by all rules. Any exceptions will be at the discretion of the track officials.

P. ALL CARS are subject to inspection by track officials at any time.

Q. ALL DIVISIONS: any or all cars caught illegal will receive no money.

R. REFUSING to obey officials could result in suspension at current race or any future race. This decision is up to officials.

S. THE ONLY place on the racetrack a driver may stop under caution without being put to the rear is on the first straight away in front of the flag stand. An official will be the only one eligible to touch the car!!! if a spoiler or lose fiberglass can be pulled off by the official, the car can go back to its original position. If not, the car must go to the pit to receive any further repairs. If anyone else touches the car without the official's permission, the care must go to the rear. Any car that brings out the YELLOW FLAG three times must go to the pits.

T. One green flag lap must be complete before the race is officially under way. After you have made a green flag lap, and you swap cars or drivers you must go to the rear.

U. ANY CAR that pulls into the pit and reenters the track under green and stops will automatically be put back into the pit. After green flag is displayed if you enter the pits you must go to the rear.

V. ALL CARS MUST HAVE HOOKS ON FRONT AND REAR OF CAR OR THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RUN.

W. IF THE STARTER determines that car (A) deliberately spins car (B), car (A) will be put to the rear!!

X. RULES FOR DRYING TRACK
 1. ALL CARS will participate!!
 2. Racing will start on time regardless of track conditions.

AA. DRIVERS not wearing fire suits or using window nets under race conditions will receive no money or finished race position.
